Animal Farm Book Cover

For this project, I reimagined Animal Farm by George Orwell through a distinct book cover design. The cover draws inspiration from the novel's key motifs—such as the barn, the pig, and themes of communism—integrating these elements to visually communicate the story’s core message. The process involved thorough analysis of the text, concept development, and exploration of typography, color palettes, and layout to create visually compelling and conceptually cohesive designs. This project showcases my ability to distill complex narratives into visually impactful designs, combining creativity with strategic design principles.

This work is currently on display at the Westchester Loyola Village Branch Public Library.

Alternative Cover Concepts

As an extension of the core design, this series of alternate cover concepts explores different visual strategies for conveying the central themes of Animal Farm. Each variation reflects distinct symbolic interpretations—ranging from typographic deconstruction to authoritarian iconography—while maintaining a unified visual system through palette, typography, and spine treatment.
